I have been a verra busy girl as usual, doing many fun and crafty things for both fun and profit! Many pics to follow.

I finally painted my rock climbing wall with brown textured floor paint and am starting to put holds up again. I also just got my silks, and rigged them last night!

I've been making a lot of new glass, and more modern stuff than usual getting ready for some shows and sales. One of my favorite modern forms is the jack in the pulpit vase:

I've decided that I like the "black" that's really dark purple with the opal purple glass, so did a ruffly vase and a bottle with those colors:

I've also started doing some wine stoppers that I'm hoping to get some of the wine tasting rooms to carry, and it looks like one of the glass galleries in Lincoln City wants some. Cute little snails!

I did a trunk show at Clubsport last weekend, which was sort of lame, but I got some good pictures of the soap dad's been making and I've been packaging. It's made from the glycerine byproduct produced when he makes biodiesel, so is both really good for your skin, and mostly made from reclaimed materials. We're wrapping the soaps in recycled paper bags.

I also used some leftover art paper to do some decorative wrappings for Mothers' Day and Easter.

And I felted around some of the large rounds of soap, so they have their own integral wash cloth/scrubber.

I had some additional new glass out there including this "black" footed glass and some new bird skulls.

I really love this opaque tan color. It's a glass that does funky things and strikes to dark shiny brown, so you can get some nice effects. I think it looks pretty good as the top layer of crackled vessels too.

I also touched up a couple more re-used book cover journals. Lots of people looked at them and thought they were nice, but no one actually bought any. I don't mind so much with these, since I can always use them myself.

You can see lots of vases and tumblers. I'll be doing even more of these for the Oregon Glass Guild Show at the Portland Convention Center, April 29, 30, and May 1st. Admission is free and includes the Oregon Ceramics Showcase, the Glass Guild Show, and the metal and textile guild shows.

For my own enjoyment, I've been embroidering my one viking undergown. I got tired of not having any embellished early period garb, so I decided to fix that...

I went sort of nuts finishing all of the seams too.... but I think it looks pretty sweet.
