Thanksgiving was pretty interesting - we were going to have a small Thanksgiving (like 5 people) but ended up with 8 which was quite fun. It was nice having Annie around, even if that meant that her family missed out on her presence. Then there was poker doom. I lost money then I won some with super suck-out nojitsu. Amaizing how that always works for me.

We had a party on Saturday night which was only sort of planned - I wasn't sure who would be around so was just inviting people over, but for a change almost everyone showed up. This included the miraculous appearance of Rebekah and Jason (who haven't actually shown up at a party for a couple of years). Everyone drank a lot, was completely without tact and silly, and I was definitely entertained. Gary even showed up - another miraculous appearance. Hopefully Hank's work buddy Jacob wasn't too scared by our weirdness - but he is going climbing with us tonight so apparently there is still hope for dragging him to an sca event one of these days.

Yesterday sucked it up. I worked from 10 - 6pm and it was frikkin' FREEZING at work. I kept slipping on climbing shoes and bouldering to warm up, then stopping because my arms hurt and becoming way too cold again. Ugh. Then it took me an hour and a half to get up to Vancouver for my gallery co-op meeting, so I was 30 min late to that. Then I left after about 10 min to go pick Katie up at the airport. But I did get an eggnog latte out of the whole thing, so it wasn't a total loss. And KLatie was happy to actually have someone meet her at the airport - so nice to see an actual face when you get back. That made me feel happy and like a good person.

I need to go work on art now, but it is so icky outside that I don't really want to leave the house. I may just wait and go early before climbing tonight. Sigh. I hope I don't totally suck it up in front of Jacob and Kaitlin. My route climbing ability has ben shrinking as my bouldering powers progress, or so it seems to me. But at least I can still fence.
