Hank and I are currently sitting in the lounge of our hotel relaxing after a day fully of museum goodness. Yesterday we got to our hotel, unpacked, and had tea. Then we visited the V&A (The Rembrandt, where we are staying, is directly across the street from the V&A), but only got to stay for a few hours. We managed to loose each other after about an hour, and met back up out front when the museum closed. I met a British woman who was working on an amazing embroidery project while sitting next to an exhibit. I pulled out my own endless project and we had a nice long chat (she knew all about what I was basing my design on, and even told me about a cool place to order naturally threads from which is located in France and gave me its website information). All and all an interesting experience. Today we had a nice breakfast, then walked past Hyde park, Buckingham Palace, through St. James Park, up regent street, by piccadily circus and soho, and eventually to the British Museum, where we spent way too much time and money, and took a ton and a half of pictures. We also passed a lot of shops that were closed because it is Sunday, and are planning on re-visiting them on a different day of the week. We had tea, and then spent the last half hour before closing at the V&A in the glass gallery, which I barely scratched the surface of. Will have to go back tomorrow. Then off to Andover and Roman Glass Project!
