Ah, a weekend at home

It is nice to sleep in my own bed, plus actually sleep in this weekend. We are going to go out later to 3M picnic in the park and go shoe and fabric shopping (a hubby who wants to go fabric shopping - how lucky am I?!!), but then we will come HOME. Wow. I am feeling pretty good, relaxed, not having to stress out about immediate deadlines. I have more time to do my soldering since I can do some during the weekend, I have been working on cleaning up the house a little at a time and it is already looking MUCH more habitable, and I have even started making some buttons for my twelfth night outfit - 5 per day to keep my hands from cramping too much 'cause they are so small. I have been inspired by Their Majesties woundeful garb, and am giong to make a gothic fitted dress out of the really neat green and purply-blue shot linen that I have a ton of. So, does anyone have good chemise making info? I am not sure exactly what the underclothes for this period are supposed to look like. I also have to decie what sort of weird hat I want. I made a fun trunctaed henin a while back, and I had this evil idea of making a pointy henin that I could spinn something on, but that isn't what I want for twelfth night. ;-) The more outragious the better though, 'cause I love them weird hats... I thought about the cadge headress thingies that go on either seie of the head, but I haven't really looked into period construction on that sort of thing yet, and am not sure what the period ones would be like though I seem to remember seeing one on an effigy or something? I am still in the brainstorming phase aside from making buttons, though. I also need to pin down my time period a little more, but that will probabaly depend on the hat/head gear I want. OOOH! I also want to make some HUGE pattens! That has been one of my "must do someday" projects for a while now. I want some really tall silly looking pattens. So, now I just need to figure out if all these things will fit into one time period, and where that would be... Help?
