There are worse places to be

than the pot-smoke filled common room of Bob's Hostel in Amsterdam when there is hail and lightning outside, and inside you are offered cheap warm soup and bread, entertaining people to watch, and you have just visited a whole bunch of really neat medieval dutch manuscripts, had a picknick in the park (while it was still sunny), and visited an awasome toy store. And it is always interesting when you meet people who know people you know in forign countries. I am now officially hooked into the medieval history network. :-)
