bye bye heraldic symposium...

Well, it looks like I may not be able to attend heraldic symposium after all since I am scheduled to work that saturday. I managed to change friday night shifts so I am only working until 9pm, not 'til 11pm, but I am still stuck with saturday. :-P Such a bummer since I was hoping I could bing my stash of glass up with me and sob story my way into selling more of it. BTW, hope to soon have a web page up with pics of the glass I have for sale. That is, I will if I ever get my tax info together. Bleh, taxes. Bleh. I am going to be working SO MUCH next week - very bummed. On the other hand, only stuck with it until the end of April.

On the bright side, I got my class info in to park and rec, so that is one thing done. I will be teaching four classes this summer. The first will be a four day (1 day per week) book binding class for ages 12 and up. I will be doing a four day calligraphy class for ages 12 and up. Also a 4 day casting class (small scale with wax and pewter) for ages 14 and up. And a book binding for kids workshop that will run two days for two hours each day for ages 8 - 13. I have never taught a specifically kids class before, so hopefully I don't kill them. But these will get all of my community service hours (I am required to do 20 hours/year) out of the way so my studio space in the park and rec building will be "payed for". After these classes I will actually get monies for each class I teach.
