I'm scheming on getting a portable period lathe set up for taking to events.
I have built one! But it needs to be shorted, so it's back in pieces again. And I need to build the tools to work on it with, then learn to use it.
It's a way off before I can build finely turned chairs at events, but it is something I'd love to do.
