water balloons aren't nearly as period as rotten fruit! i say a buck for a tomato, two for a rotten apple, three for the thrill of a truly gooey potato (nothing on earth is more putrid or treacherous than a rotten potato... they look so normal and then the stench of 9 levels of hell oozes out all over your hand when you pick one up...)
