Kingdom Bardic

Well, for those of you who havn't herd the news - I won! OMG, I am so exhausted! SO much energy was spent this weekend... Stephen and I were in finals, and we both did pretty well on our performances. He got the highest score on a single entry, and there was less than 3 points difference in our scores from Saturday. I think I had an unfair advantage on Sunday in that I tend to do better in front of more people rather than in a smaller setting - the more people I can be silly in front of when I am being silly the better. I had some issues staying in persona because I was trying some technically harder things which were at times a bit dicey, but overall I am fairly happy with my performace. It was also much harder than I anticipated keeping four acts together when I ususally am only working on one at a time. I managed to fall down while diplaying my skills on Saturday, and now have a tweaked knee and bruised bum, which will probabaly pain me for a week or so, but I am glad it was worth something - I did get a bonus point for "personal danger" - hah! ;-) Now I am home, my house is a complete disaster, I am behind on work, and I am currently taking a quick break from catching up on soldering to share the news. Goals for the week: clean house, catch up on work, sleep, pay more attention to pets and husband. I did suceed in my goal of having a fun and silly, if exhausting time. Did I mention the word exhausting? And I also have a GRAND SCHEME for the next Kingdom Bardic and possibly for this years A&S. More about the GRAND SCHEME later.

Thanks SO MUCH to hanksan who drove me around, payed for a lot of the house we rented, kept trying to get me to calm down and breath, juggled with me, and acted as a marvelous inspiration! Also, ursule who did s single impresse entry and won the incipient equestrian guild poetry contest as well as coming to egg me on! And glasseye who was there to support us all! And to my parents who made my puppet show and were techies, and Tamar who was my puppet show co-consipritor, and Z who came and was a great audience!

Side note: I was so buisy that I didn't even get to track down my other LJ friends and say hi - next time drag me to the side and give me hugs! I was totally focussed so wasn't thinking about anything else, but I never mind taking a break for too much mental excercise. And I don't even know what some of y'all look like, so wasn't about to go around asking random people who they were... ;-)
