Nice and warm, full of scones

aelfgifuI really don't ant to go wrangle kids tonight. But there are way worse jobs. But right now I have this nice warm cat sitting on my lap, I am plesantly full of horrible food, I feel sort of sleepy, I have nice warm slippers on my feet, and the idea of moving, getting up, driving for 40 min, then dealing with brats (ok, some of them are pretty sweet, but still WAY too energetic) for three hours is sort of appalling.
On a side note, I am bummed because in the amount of time it took me to apply to PCC the second year french class I was going to sign up for filled. And it costs twice as much to take it at PSU, including parking permit costs. Sigh. So either I need to get into that class, or else maybe I will say screw it and sign up for Arabic at PSU. But I can't really afford a $600 class this term. Ick. Not to mention that I would have to attempt to obtain a parking permit which is a ordeal in itself.
I sen in my application for the Mazama's Mountaineering First Aid Class today. Hopefully I get in. The class consists of five lectures and then a weekend practical at the Mazama's Lodge on Mt Hood where we get to try splinting things with bits of our packs and other fun stuff like that. I know, I am weird, but hey, everyone has different ideas of fun.
