Theophilus theoretically did not have ear mites when I brought him home from the animal shelter. But in reality they were merely laying in wait. When they reappeared he managed to itch his ear enough while I wasn't watching that he burst a blood vessel in between the layers of cartilage in his ear and it puffed up. So I took him to the vet and they drained it and gave him a shot. Then it puffed up again a few days ago so I took him in and they gave him cool body jewelry. When they said they would put buttons on his ears, I didn't realize how literal they were being!

He always thinks he is pretty! And of course he is - the vet specially chose the colors to go with his fur, or so he told me. ;-)

Hehe, next time I should provide some of those spiffy period buttons then? Somehow I don't think the cloth ones would do the job, and pewter would be awafully heavy!
