Angsty self-pity

Be warned, this is one of those my life sucks entries. Ok, well, maybe not, but I just had a really downer hour or so and feel like bitching. It was all going fine until Hank walked out the door, then I began to wonder what the puppy was up to. For some reason she was in the closet. Huh. Wait a moment, isn't that the cat in the closet? Why yes it is, and Theo is just laying there like a lump while Rasputin licks him. I shoe the dog away and find a very listless cat with a very swollen eye. I pick him up and he lays like a lump, seriously pathetic. Sigh. This crap always happens just after Hank leaves for work, so I get to find the cat carrier, call the vet, try to controll the dog, and drive to the vet and worry all by myself. I dropped him off at the vet, and of course they have still not called me back. Theo didn't even complain about the cat cadge or the car. :-( I went out to get some coffee after dropping him off, because I hadn't had caffine yet. When exiting the car I managed to squeeze the lid off of the coffee cup and dump the whole damn thing on my shoe and pants. Not even a little simapathy sip in the bottom of the cup. And now I am sitting here, waiting for the vet to call me back. Of course, since there were two people with three cats each waiting when I got to the vet, I immagine it might be a while before they get aound to my poor kitty. :-(

Yeah, looks like he will be. I need to figure out how to make the 2 cats, a dog, and Hank living situation work out so none of us are risking life and limb. :-P Side note, I just reserved us a house less than a mile from the Kingdom Bardic site!
