A start to the New Year

Today was my first work day for the New Year, and I mean work for myself. I started out fighting a migraine, and then was stoned for a good half of it on pain meds, but managed to finish it off by starting a bunch of brass knitting needles that will be some of the stock for the web store. I got in some designing on my draw bench (it needs some modification before it it easy and safe to use) and got a comitment from Ed to help me draw out a plot plan for our place near Wilsonville tomorrow. Woot going out in the rain with a survayors tape! :-P Oh, and ragarding my sad post about being up all night and sad, well I came out of that with an awesome drawing that took me two and a half days of complete obsession to finish, and will probabaly become an uber bronze door kncker of doom! Dad saw it and asked me when I was going to start making it - silly sculptor drawing stuff... :-P
Rather than resolutions for the New Year, I have a lot of "get a round to its" and "someday I want to do this" items to share. I want to work on the first list more immediately and work on the second list long-term. I have a whole life time ahead of me, so it is ok to have a huge list and change my mind! ;-)
Side note, all ye who I owe artwork, it is SO not happening by twelfth night - it got shoved down the priority list. I will try to get to y'all as I feel inspired and actually have time to get stuff done.
Around to its:
making more artwork
climbing more often
walking the dog more often, even when it is raining
running around singing and dancing like a madwoman while the pets all stair at me like I'm mad or try to join in
singing
noticing the good stuff
cook more
bake more bread
relax more
have me time and work time
plant and actually take care of a garden
swim more
hang out with my friends more
sew stuff
brew more
go spirits tasing at the local distillaries
take Hank to taste the local bubbly
get a haircut
losse some weight so I fit into my prana cords dang it!
Someday I want tos:
build my own house
make a still and use it (and I mean legally with a distillary plant permit and all)
make a medieval glass furnace
make a portable glass furnace tghat I can take to events
have my own business (yay! SO doing it, now we just need to get the website up and shop finished)
have new garb???
make a large scale gas fired bronze furnace and burn-out kiln
build cool doors and hardware
go to graduate school
travel to, well, all over the place (huge huge huge list)
have chickens again
goats! I need goats too!
Have time and fresh milk for making yummy yummy goat cheese - I so miss that!
be debt-free
Be in shape and happy with it for thw long run
Ok, so much more stuff, but this is more than enough to think about for now. ;-)
