I feel like I just confessed some sort of horrible sin... ;-) I can't decide if this make me a big ol' Looser or Smart. But it does mean I actually got work done on stuff I needed to do (like my business!) in the last month. I am bringing the cool coat Khalja gave me and working on finishing the seams, but I doubt it will be done in time to wear. And for a change I am just not going to stress out about it. My hands hurt from all of the work I have been doing, and climbing, and I refuse to make them hurt and more unless I get seriously bored. I have so much garb waiting to be made one of these days/months/years, but it will just have to be patient. Any time anyone wants to take pity on me and become my personal sewing slave, feel free! I just would rather make cool metal bits or other neat things. These days when I sew it is more likely because I need to finish making something for someone else.

Just because the *tradition* is that one busts one's ass to make new stuff for 12th Night doesn't mean it's a good idea. ;)

It's almost as if we're all celebrities, and once we've been seen in something on the Red Carpet, we can't POSSIBLY be seen in it again or we'll be raked over the coals by the Fashion Police. To which I say: "Feh."

Hi Elfa. I'm Liz,and I didn't make anything new either. I am wearing something very beautiful but really, really old.

If cornered by the Fashion Police I can always pull out the big guns--I will fix them with a steely glare over the top of my glasses, then quiver my chin and start to sob hysterically. Take that, suckahs.

Most likely, MY medieval counterpart didn't have enough money/fabric to make a full set of new clothes just for a winter holiday :)
